Project Overview

Committed to preventing the spread of HIV and helping people with HIV live with dignity and support, Lifelong AIDS Alliance (LLAA) provides prevention education as well as advocacy, nutrition and housing to people living with HIV/AIDS.

Originally known as the Chicken Soup Brigade, the group merged with the Northwest AIDS Foundation in 2001, and their services, outreach, and online needs grew rapidly. LLAA asked Fuse IQ to analyze their systems and online services to determine how they could achieve their goals more cost-effectively.

Goals

After a thorough analysis, we found that LLAA could save thousands of dollars per year by improving their information architecture and user experience, and by eliminating a number of redundant data systems and consolidating others.

A new architecture was built around a powerful Content Management System (Drupal) and a new design was developed to improve navigation and usability. LLAA staff were trained to manage the site to perform all edits and updates.

Approach

  • User Experience Analysis

  • Content Analysis

  • Information Architecture Development

  • Web Design

  • Content Management System (Drupal) Implementation

Results

Streamlined content editing and management allows LLAA volunteers to focus on delivering services to those that need it most. Donation and Advocacy are highlighted on the Home page and promoted extensively throughout the site.

Our new design ensures people visiting the site will find the information they need easily and quickly.  Patrons of LLAA have a much more pleasant and lasting visit on the site. LLAA staff has full ability to edit and maintain the Drupal based CMS and the organization saves tens of thousands of dollars a year with this new solution.
