The Project
Girl Scouts is the world’s pre-eminent organization dedicated solely to girls. In Western Washington 26,000 girls benefit from the leadership development, environmental stewardship, and cooperative learning activities offered by this well-known organization.
The challenge for Fuse IQ was to build a single site that would serve the needs of two groups merged into one: the Totem Council (northwest Washington) and Pacific Peaks Council (southwest Washington) became Girl Scouts of Western Washington (GSWW).
The Results
- Strong identity
- Accessible audience-specific information
- Increased efficiency within the organization
- Hundreds of events per year managed online
Our Solution
Better Web
Fuse IQ designed a comprehensive website and developed a custom application for Girl Scouts of Western Washington through:
- Information architecture analysis and development
- Web design
- Content management system implementation (Drupal)
- Custom development
Better World
Girl Scouts of Western Washington now has an impressive online presence that reaches parents, girls, volunteers, and donors. The event-management tool and easy-to-update content management system help save resources — critical for a group that is 99% volunteer-run!
Fuse IQ will soon be creating a custom shopping cart system that will allow users to purchase goods for the Girl Scouts, as well as make direct donations.
All these efficiencies allow more organization resources to be available to focus on the Girl Scouts’ mission — to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
